Hi!  My son just reported last Monday to Jacksonville after graduating A school in Pensacola.  He's AWFAN.  He's a reservist, so will report for his indoc (1st weekend duty shift) in mid December.  So nice to have him home!

Hi everyone! My son is finishing A school in Pensacola and just received his orders to Jax when he finishes in December. We are in TX and just spent last week with him and some other sailors at Navy Lodge in Pen. It was great to see him and we are hoping to see him some between A school and move to Jax!

Congrats Lindsey!!! Yes, once you reach Petty Officer you lose your
green stripes and gain the crow - a perched eagle with spread wings, then a rating mark (AM - hubby say AM should have something like 2 hammers), then 1 red Chevron for 3rd class, 2 red chevrons for 2nd class, 3 red chevrons for 1st class! So for the next to rank up she'll get, she'll receive another chevron. Congrats again!! :)
