Audreysmema....Ok so can you buy fabric at this sale?

I am hosting a Navy mom's meet and greet in November. I am asking everyone who comes to bring a new toy for Toys for Tots. If they bring a toy I will give them a raffle ticket to win a quilt I am going to make. I am doing this in honor of my father who passed away many years ago, but was a career marine and also took care of those that had less than we did.

I am planning to make a long lap quilt. In my mind I would like to make it with rich tones of gold/brown fabric.

If you come across any fat quarters that fit the bill, let me know and I can send you come cash for the purchase.

Thanks!

Where do you think the middle would be for all of us?

JM....I know it was not necessary, but you sent me so much stuff! You should have seen me carefully going over all the patterns you sent me. I sat in my sewing room and just read them over on Sunday and lost track of time with all the patterns. It was the best day!

Thanks for sharing!

Welcome Netta.....I am a long time Navy mom. I grew up in the Marine Corp, married into the Air Force and sent our son off to the Navy. Navy son has been on the line for 8 years. We have an adult daughter that lives near us (close enough to visit, but there are times I am really glad she has a place of her own). Navy son has two daughters and another baby on the way.

I grew up sewing clothes and household stuff. I have been quilting for about 8 years.

Can't wait until you can share your quilts with us.

Eagle Mom....I am with you I wish we all lived close enough so we could just get together and sew and talk!
