Eagle Mom....Welcome to the group. Yes, sewing with others is wonderful. My best friend and I would sew into the wee hours of the morning. She had to move away, so I lost my sewing partner. I do miss our evenings of sewing.

I have found a quilt guild in my area that works on quilts for our local veterans hospital and hospice. so I enjoy donating my time to them and receiving their fellowship in return.

Of course I have about 8 projects I need to finish before the holidays. so what else is new..

We all love to see what the others make here, so hopefully you can share your creations also.

Looking forward to hearing more about you and your sailor.

Vernita.....I just made the fastest quilt I have ever made. Just did a nine patch for a baby shower with short notice. It turned out cute and the mom to be seemed pleased.

Pmbarman.....Have you considered moving to California so we can visit you a and use your new long arm!!!

Yes, it is so sad about the crash. My son fly's a SH-60 and my heart always sinks when I hear about a crash. My heart goets out to their families.

Ladies.....Thank you all for the kind words, you are making my head swell.

Glad I got to share it. I made it just for me to use here at the house.

Got to finish my wizards caps before I head down to San Diego on Friday.

Yes, that is my plan to sash them, they just don't seem stable enough sewing them together. I think I finally decided on the order or placement I want them in. Got them laid out of the floor in my sewing room. Every time I walk by I move them around. Maybe another day or to and I will be happy with there arrangment:)

Well its been quite here, everyone must be busy sewing. Finished my wizards caps and hats this weekend. Started blocking up my t-shirt pieces, still trying to figure out how I am going to get all the mis-sized piece to be equal and matched to other blocks. This may take some thinking.

Vernita.....I am still trying to figure out this website a bit, but if you go to my page and go to the bottom and hit the view all the picture should come up, I hope.
