OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Vernita.....Did I tell you that I moved all my fabric from the storage boxes onto my new shelves over my sewing center? It only took 3 of us 4 hours to unpack it, sort it my color and fabric, refold it and put it away. It was a job.

Vernita....I am into really straight lines right now. I change my preferences from time to time. Log cabins are my favorites right now. When I was up camping last week, I saw a neat pattern for a log cabin that I hadn't seen before, so its up next on my hit parade.

I think it would depend on the size of the pattern on the material for me to decide on what I would do?

Kathy....When I get it done I will post it. I am a slow. I take care of a elderly aunt on Sunday's so my sewing time is limited.

Thanks for clearing up the name thing.

I am a grandma also, but the are my son (who is in the Navy) girls. They are 5 and 20 months.

Vernita.....The get together was very nice. We got to talk and share lots of info. Even an old war dog like me learn new things from my Navy Mom friends.

Gail....Welcome to the group. Sorry I am not a Sub mom, so I am of no help to you.

I would think if it was the same color as the other blankets on the sub, it won't raise to much of a fuss.
