QuiltLady...I don't really have a pattern for say. Downloaded the picture of my son's ship and made it larger. Made a couple of copies of it and cut into the pieces I thought looked like different colors and then traced those pieces on the fabric. It only took me two months. I am not very fast.

If you go to my page you will see the quilt I just finished. It is a quilt that my son will presnet to his captain tomorrow.

The image is my interpretation of LPD 20, the USS Green Bay. I wanted make something that would stay with the ship and bare our name as donors.

This only took me about 2 months to put together.

Thanks for letting me share.

Eagle Mom....Great! Sorry it took me so long. I can't believe how much trouble I had with the Chain squares. I thought I would have trouble with the card trick, but they went quick and easy.

Looking forward to see our end result of the corpman quilt.

Gail....Glad you liked the quilts and the room. The room has been a dream of my for about 15 years. I just got it all finished and arranged the way I wanted this year. As I told my husband I am a very happy women!

As to the quilts they were 8 1/2 inch squares with four across. Plus I added the boarder because it looked to plan.

When does you ship deployment end? Do you need an extra quilt or two? Always willing to turn out a baby quilt. Let me know if you would like help. Just let me know if you need a boy quilt or girl?

Quiltlady....Glad you made it back to the West coast in one piece. Did you do any fabric shopping while you were in land of Cheese?

If you got a treadle machine they will usually still work if they have been sitting for a long time. No electronics in it to go back.

I finally downloaded some pictures of the quilts I been making. If you look at my page you will see them. The one with the matching diaper bag is one my daughter and I made for a her girlfriends baby shower. The rest were all donated to either the veterans hospital here in town or our local hospice.

Now I just need to finish the quilt I want to donate to my son's ship.
