At RTC, they call home when the RDC schedules the calls. Calls are am earned privilege and can be taken away. I did get the majority of my calls while I was at work, and my schedule always changes. So glad I have am understanding boss. So glad boot is over with.

Does anyone known when they typically call home? Is it weekends?

Hubby got his verbal orders a couple weeks ago, about half way through A school. He still has another four weeks to go. I've told him I'm not believing them until he sends me a picture of his written orders. We still won't be moving to him until almost two months after he gets there. Sigh. Can it be graduation yet?

I hope so. I feel like it's taking forever. Is your husband stationed somewhere yet? I'm curious how far into a school will you know your duty station, I know it's a long way off.

Paula, according to wiki, a Fid is a tool used with ropes. Don't know if that helps or not. Gotta love the military and all of their acronyms.
I do not know how to tell if the orders are accompanied or not, still have yet to see my hubby's. I've time him I won't believe what his verbals are. I love the phrase I've seen used, verbals aren't worth the paper they're written on. I wish I could help more.

This has probably been asked before and will seem silly, but due to a complicated situation the sooner I know the better my mind will by eased. What would it say on my husbands orders to let me know if he got accompanied orders? And, I guess, does anyone know as a safety precaution how to get those changed if I'm not? It's in the states, so no worry about command sponsorship. Also, does anyone know what FID means?
