Safe trips to all our Navy families traveling to PIR today!!!!! Hoo Yah!!
Wow, congrats to our new sailors!!! A very proud moment indeed for all. Graduation is breathtaking, talk about feeling proud. When you see all those new sailors marching in it just takes your breath away!
My son drove home last week from Norfolk for a 6 day stay! So nice to have him home again. He loves what he's doing (with the exception of living on the ship because they don't have any housing at this time). He told me he can't imagine doing anything else. We're planning a trip in July to celebrate his 21st birthday! Anybody know anything about where to stay in the Virginia Beach area?
Thank you all for your comments, well wishes and support. Lilly will be staying in Great Lakes for her A School. Her rate if you remember is Gunner's Mate. Since you all met her, her boyfriend also joined the Naval Reserves, he'll be out there for boot camp this summer, so ugh, i gotta do this again....But, I am very happy and proud and happy for both of them.Lil says we will see her as soon as the big doors open, and she'll be gathering the "trench coats" told me "precisely" where to sit. I said, "yes Ma'am" Again, Thank each and everyone of you, and when I get back i will try and post NH's newest sailor for you. Love and prayers, Krissi
Congratulations Lil's Mom! You must be so proud. I lit a blue candle for her! Enjoy PIR!
I'm anxious about learning of my daughter's PIR date which, according to my guessing calculations, could be the weekend of our youngest daughter's college graduation. When it rains it pours!
