We finally have power, heat, and home phones after 3 days almost to the hour of not having!!! Our was not damaged and our biggest problem was our fridge! We filled big containers with water in the freezer two days before and out hoped it would help keep things cold. Good thing power came back on because the fridge was no longer cold. Hope everyone is ok!

Hope everyone survived Sandy. Its heartbreaking to see our shores destroyed.

Hello!  '2 in the service' invited me over here - thanks!  I posted on the 'introduce yourself ' discussion but I dont know if anyone goes to that spot often, so I'll say hello here, too.  My son has been in for one year (PIR 10/21/11 ) and is currently on the USS Boxer, LHD4.   He is HT-FA.   We are from Morris County (Florham Park)

I'd love to get together with some other NJ Navy Moms!

REPOSTING THIS AGAIN TO SEE IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO COME!

Dear Navy Mom Sisters,

I am planning a Navy Mom Meet & Greet in Mount Laurel, NJ on Sunday November 4th at Noon.  Since I belong to a number of groups, including a few here on NavyforMoms, Blue Star Mothers, Facebook and  the Navy Mom Connection, I am inviting all of you!  If you would like to come, please send  me a message to bethh2000@yahoo.com and I’ll send you an email with the location and directions.  Since it's not an 'official' NavyforMoms event, I'd rather not post the details here.

Navy Mom Hugs,

Beth
