For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

We're 10 minutes below Phillipsburg right at the border of Warren and Hunterdon counties. I've had my phone tied to my hand and very very loud. Don't really care how loud it is! He left 12/5, Sunday will mark the 3 wk mark, so may not hear from him, but I get it. Anything at this point is gravy!
Thanks everyone! I have my plane tickets, room reservations and rental car all set to go to PIR!! Wouldn't miss it. He'll be staying in GL for A school- Pre Buds. Got a letter yesterday, as did his sister. Very nice :)
And cookie raiders welcome here anytime! We are in west central NJ, in Hunterdon Cty, almost into PA. Very rural out here. Where are you all from?
Hi all, new to this forum. My son left Dec 5 and has PIR 2/3. It's been tough without him around to steal my Christmas cookies!

My oldest is on his way homenow, stuck in Chicago right now due to our weather here. The other will be driving home tomorrow. He waited until the last minute to put his chit in, so I was worried he wouldnt get approved. phewww
This is the first time they have been home together in 6 years. I wont be that lucky next year so I will cherish it while I can.
I know of so many who wont have their sons and daughters home this year, so I want to thank them for their service keeping us safe this holiday season.

Judy & sjtina, beautfiul signs!!!!!! Where do you find these signs? They are always so very pretty!!! We are coming up to NJ to be with our daughter's family & then driving back next week as "both" our boys are coming to our Atlanta home for their "1st" visit in our new home the week after Christmas.
