Hi Dawn, Yes I do belong to Chapter 4. I just recently joined in May of this year, and now we will be moving to Atlanta b/c my husband has had a job transfer. I was hoping to get to at least one of the meetings but my daughter just had her second child on 08/21/11. She came home, but he has to stay another 2 weeks b/c his lungs weren't quite fully developed. Bracing for the storm today. The baby is in a brand new hospital constructed with practically all windows.   :(

Speaking of the earthquake, my daughters room was on the 4th floor, and when the quake hit, the building shook, and swayed back & forth. At first everyone thought something was wrong with the foundation & the hospital was falling down. Thank goodness their minds were relieved when they found out it was an earthquake!! My oldest son has been stationed out in San Diego for almost 2 years, he called and said "Mom, I bet you didn't think you would feel an earthquake before me"!!

Everyone stay Safe!!

Hi everyone. Hope everyone is ready for our second natural disaster in one week. Hubby and kids are on their way down the shore to get the boat out of the water and board up some windows. Miles and miles of traffic heading home.

Maria which base is your son going to in Virginia? My son is at Oceana. They have already evacuated the bases and he is heading home for the weekend. Its better than a shelter.

Hi Marianne, Yes, Great News about Judy she is a wonderful person Im so glad that she will be fine. Wow thats funny how your son  knew so fast, i texted my son he is still in Great Lakes telling him we were fine and he thought I was joking until he checked on the internet. I remember back in July 1979 I think its the right date I felt one by Union City NJ about same trembling but this one made me very dizzy I thought I was having another Vertigo attack LOL. I was laying down on my sofa and it started to shake heard a rumble and my lamp on table was shaking for about 10 to 15 seconds thats all enough to get me a bit dizzy. All is good no damages by neighborhood.Becareful with Hurricane Irene heading this way.Thank God my son was not in Virginia yet. Stay Safe and how is your Sailor doing
