Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Maria there has been a few of those glitches going around. I believe it has something to do with explorer 9. How are you doing?

As you go about your day today - remember the sacrifices made on June 6, 1944 on the beaches of Gold, Juno, Sword, Utah and Omaha as we stormed Normandy. Remember our heroes today and everyday and be thankful you live in a land of the free because of the brave.

navy25 I will be thinking of you on the 14th. You are a wonderful person and I am sure everything will be fine.

My son is no longer in great lakes he was med dropped from pre buds and sent to florida. he has chosen IA as his new job, for now until he can return to seals training. Is there anyone on here whos son is a IA? I dont know much about it and there is no group for it.

June 14th Flag Day Ive always have honored Our Flag that Day including marching on parades with my son when we were in the Cubscouts/Boyscouts.This will be one that I will always remember

Hi Judy, I finally got to talk to my son yesterday on Wed. about my surgery coming up June 14th the hardest thing Ive ever had to do but I feel so much better now and I now can share with all of you my Navy Mom Friends if you all can say a little prayer for me on my surgery day, I want to tell everyone how helpful one of the ladies Angie that works at Great Lakes and she is on this website was in making sure that my sons commanders were there to check on my son afterwards. I will be so forever Thankful to her and the others God Bless The Navy
