hi honeybrown..welcome. I guess you can probally figure out where I am from. being there at graduation meant more to my son than anything. he was able to spot us in the bleachers. saying goodbye again set me back a little, but just being able to text and talk to him whenever makes it so much easier.

@Dawn...thanks so much for offering to send a package to Joshua! Good news is that Joshua will be leaving the "hot zone" within the month and asked that we not send any more packages. I hope to have him home by New Years!

P.S. I am a member of BSM Chapter 4 and met Donna Z a few months ago for lunch! I am way down in South Jersey so she met me half way (sort of)

Hi Honeybrown and welcome. I'm way down in South Jersey near Philly...My son is a Corpsman assigned to the 3rd Marines out of Okinawa Japan. He's been in the Navy since 4/2007 and is currently in Marjah Afghanistan with the 2/6. Joshua will complete his tour soon and should be out of the 'hot zone' by December 1 (or so) and then back to Japan to return all the 'gear'. We are hoping he'll be home for a post deployment leave before the end of the year! Joshua will be going back to Japan to finish his assignment and then in May will change duty stations to somewhere here on the East Coast...Maybe VA or MD! We are quite excited that not only will Joshua be in the US for his next assignment but even in the same time zone! Enjoy PIR and thank you son for his service. NMH, Beth

Him being my youngest child, its hard for me to adjust being home alone ... He is Grad & Go and will be attending A school in Great Lakes. Iam here for advice and words of encouragement.
