Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi Regina and LauraLee thank you both I also want to start a Navy Scrapbook so I have to do some homework and see where I can get some Navy books or stuff I got some stickers at the NEX at Great Lakes so I have something to start.My fotos of the actual ceremony were not the best but others with him were great and we got to spend 3 days with him and that was the best mini trip I ve ever had ,Maria Navy25

Hi Lynda,Dawn,Judy,Marianne and Monica and Jersey Navy Moms thank you for the Congrats and welcoming Me to this group Im so very Proud of my son as you all are of yours and thanks for this great website that keeps us Moms going day to day.PIR 10/8/10 AWESOME my son designed his DIV Flag so that was very touching for him and I as well as for our family. I ofcourse as soon as I drove into the base I started crying couldnt help it and believe it or not I forgot to bring the tissues LOL but a Mom from New Orleans to the rescue, I wish I would have gotten her name.Lynda your son looks terrific and what a smile happy for him. Hi Jersey Moms just got back on Monday night from my sons PIR it was an amazing experience. I also got to meet some of the Navy Moms and that was a treat meeting everyone sorry I got there a bit late and missed some.Well worth the long long drive there.Maria Navy25

hi Beth. woohoo another south jersey mom. time does seem to go fast around the holidays. my oldest was in afghanistan last year and Iraq the year before even though he told me he was in Kuwaits so I wouldnt worry. right now he is stationed in Greece having a awesome time. I miss both my boys. we will be away for thanksgiving week. so maybe we can meet up before the holidays. Hi Marianne..How are you doing?

Hi Tina, I'm in South Jersey too...I'm in Mount Laurel..Nice to meet you. Have a great time at PIR. Mine was in June 2007. My HM3 (FMF) Joshua is currently in Afghanistan with the 2/6 ETT. He's been there since 4/1 and December can't be here soon enough.

marianne-I havnet been keeping up with all the posts. are we the only ones from south jersey? my sons pir is next week, but I would love to meet up with everyone
