Thank you Liz and Sharon. I am a little afraid of him in bc, but he is a strong boy, so I think he will do fine. I am so proud of him and I know that he made the right choice.
Is the Nimitz in San Diego? I was out there twice last year, on vacation, and thought that I had heard someone talking about it?

Happy Mother's Day to all on here :)

Thank you, Sharon. It is comforting to know there is someone close by here too. My son will be going to Pensacola after bc. He is going to be an Aviation Electronic, Electrical, and Computer Systems Technician. Sorry, I don't know the abbreviation for his job yet, but I think it's an AE. They told my son that he will probably be on either an aircraft carrier or a frigate when he gets finished with his training.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I'm just kinda lost, at this point. This website is great, but I don't know anyone on here and don't have any friends yet. I just feel weird asking people that I don't know to friend me. I guess I will just check in on here everyday and get info for now. I have a brother who was in the Navy years ago, but things are really different now. My son is the youngest of our 5 children and I get teary-eyed even thinking about him leaving. I can't imagine how hard the actual day will be. :( Right now we are dealing with high school graduation and summer vacation, so I put my anxiety on hold for a few weeks. :)

Hello everyone, it was two weeks yesterday that Mary left for BC. My other daughter leaves Monday. I haven't recieved anything from Mary but the 'Box'. I've written her letters, do you think she's getting them. It's stressful not knowing anything.

Mary: Joyce Reszka will be joining us for the Navy For Moms Call with Mrs. Bushong. Joyces' son (Scott) is CPO & Zone 5 Supervisor for NRD-Phx. He lives here in Tucson and his mom lives in Albuquerque along with his wife and kids. Can I give Scott my Thursday tee times? He'll be in Albuq all week.
