Zack's Mom,
Where did your link to the Navy pictures go? I was looking at them earlier and now I can't find them - I wanted to show them to the hubby.

Zack"s Mom,
There is a considerable line of cars waiting to get in the main gate. All vehicles have to be searched so you need to plan that time into your game plan.

Hi ladies,
I am joining you for a short time to let you know about a wonderful company in your state.
I am Sue-the pillowcase lady. I have a crew and we have been making and sending handmade pillowcases to our sailors since January thru Molly's adopt a sailor project. In fact, since 7-10-09, we have sent 687! Check out Molly's site, and the "heads at ease" discussion for more information if you are interested.

Anyway, I am on a road trip. As I drove thru Burlington, NC I saw a sign for free fabric. Long story short. Loom Craft Textiles donated 60 yards of fabric to my pillowcase project. So if you have a need for curtain or uphosltery fabric, check them out.
Thanks!

ncnavymom,
I will have to come look you up!!! I'm so sorry about your cousin.
My son always has a battle with weight. Unfortunately, he got his genes from his mama!!! He had to drop some weight before he went back in and has to constantly watch it.

Donna and ncnavymom,
I live between Cary and Raleigh. Right beside I40 - and I do mean BESIDE!! I hear the traffic day and night!!! But it seems pretty easy to get to just about everywhere!

Donna,
For his first enlistment, my son was stationed at Oceana with one of the Fighter Squadrons (when they weren't deployed). We visited him a few times in VB. I loved it there!! My husband and I moved to NC from Northeastern Ohio. We lived there for the last 6 years and was in Augusta, GA for 12 years before that. To me NC is in the middle of those two - warmer in the summer than Ohio, but not nearly as hot as GA!!!
So Wake Forest isn't that far from me, is it? Nice to meet you, Nita!!
