Good Sunday afternoon, LZ27, What is CEC school?

What a lovely Sunday morning here in Nor Cal. Said goodbye to my ensign as he headed out to Port Huemene for 12 weeks of CEC school. Hope he is able to come home for Thanksgiving before going to Texas. It was easier to see him go that when he went to Newport. Hoping I get an address soon as a care package awaits. Hope all are enjoying this lovely weather.

Good morning Nor. Cal families, Sorry Susan that you have to cancel your M&G but happy you got a job that you love. Thanks for all the updates.
Not much going on here, Chrissy is still on hold in GL, very frustrated because the Navy hasn't given her any orders yet. She likes to keep busy so is working in the gym to get her belay certificate.

Well my friends I have good news and not so good news. I now have a second part time job. That is the good news. The awesome part abou tit is that it is something that I love. The bad news is that I will be working every Sunday. So, I can not host the N4M in September. I am very sorry about this - if you want to attend the parade and walk in it - pm me and I can connect you with the Blue Star Mom's for Nevada County. I was really looking forward to this. I'm truly sorry. My angel blessings to each of you ~~S~~

Today the Navy is celebrating Women's Equality Day; August 26th commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment in 1920, granting women the right to vote. It also signifies women's continuing efforts toward full equality. The role of women in the Navy has evolved significantly since the first females became WAVES during WWII. Today we are celebrating Navy women, past and present. Please share with us the Navy women you celebrate today as well.

Well, it's Wednesday now...and it's going to be a hot one. 106 in Sac. Gee, I may have to use the pool today! LOL

Sounds like everyone is pretty busy and the summer winds down. My sailor graduates A school in October. I REALLY hope he'll get to come home some time soon.

Jody - I just saw your son's picture onboard his boat. I found a video on YouTube of Tracy's P3 landing at RAF Fairford, UK for an airshow! I clipped the video into a smaller size and put it on my Droid so I can watch her fly whenever I want :)

At Kings Beach yesterday - and met a retired Commander. He said that 'nukes are a 'special bread'. No they don't communicate - and thank you. We had a nice chat - I thanked him for his service. What a great guy. I'll see him again when I go to Smith Valley on Labor Day weekend. I'm hoping to get the sailor there too. We will see.

Hello from Newport RI (well not exactly but close)! What an experience at OCS graduation in Newport. PIR 5 AM run, chow hall, Hi Moms, and Graduation was an incredible experience. I don't know when I was not sniffling or just outright bawling! Of course he was teh most handsome in the bunch!
