Shhhh - I'm going to have some time off! I'm kind of in shock. We will leave on next Monday and drive to Salem where we will probably stay in Motel 6 (dog friendly).
Tuesday, we will head over to the coast and Seaside, for lunch, and a bit of a walk around. Then, to Redmond, WA to see our Miss Meghan and have dinner with her. She and I became friends about five or six years ago. Amazing young woman.
Then, on Wednesday we will arrive in Poulsbo, for our granddaughter's high school graduation. Plan to arrive around noon. The Mariner's game is in the evening and Tyr is singing in her class choir at the game.
We did not want to overwhelm them, and knowing that this is graduation week, it is probably much better that we respect bed times, and stress levels. Don't want to add to any 'drama queen' opportunities.
This will give me two days unplugged. Then Three days with our sailor and his family. Thursday and Friday to play with Miss Brianna while her sister is at school taking care of graduation stuff.
Friday evening is the graduation. We will probably head down the trail right after the graduation (no matter how late we get back). It is three and a half hours to Portland and that would be a good start. Would make Saturday's drive about 12 hours (food and piddle stops). That will also keep us from messing up bed time.
Saturday will be a long drive, but not as long as it could be. I've got mixed emotions about Sunday - but it is what it is and God will get me through it.
Went through the stuff from my father's parent's. There is just a small box of stuff to ship to him. I did find my only Uncle's birth and death certificates, and the letters that he wrote while he as in the Air Force. Very emotional. It will be good for me to get this taken care of.
The pulpit is covered for Sunday, so I have to figure out what I'm going to do. Afraid to be with the family because of my mouth and I honestly wanted to spend my birthday with my son.
Hi everyone, I've been away from the group for a while, but I'm back. I went to the FISH 103.9 Christian Family Festival this past weekend (6/2) at the Gibson Ranch in Elverta, had a wonderful time, and got a postcard flyer for Celebrate America 2012 June 30, & July 1, at Twin Oaks Park in Rocklin. This is a wonderful tribute to America, her military, everything great about America. And a firework show that is second to none from what I understand. It is free, but believe there is a parking fee into the park. The website is www.CelebrateAmericaOnline.com phone # 916 780 2273. Just thought I'd share, we are planning to attend, hope you can too and with this the weekend before the 4th of July, it should be awesome! Have a wonderful day everyone. God bless our sailors, God bless ALL Navy families.
It was a blast, and thank you all for being wodnerful you.
Ok, October 20th will be the baby shower - but I'll need a co-host. Need to know the place in Rocklin - mexican food right?? My work schedule is crazy and want to make sure that I don't mess up.
Ladies...Had the best time with all of your yesterday! Thank you for being there for me when things were bad, and when things are great. You will never know how much you all mean to me.
Tee yes I took the picture and then edited it with Instagram.
We did the Flags at Mt. Vernon with the Boy Scouts and the ones at East Lawn with the Sea Cadets, yes Peter is both, makes for one busy momma!!!
I feel honored every year to do it!
Thank you for doing that Spring. My father is buried in Hawaii, I hope someone put a flag on his grave. I have only been back there once since moving to California.
Monica, I am sure your daughter will do fine, she is a smart cookie like you.
spring I heard about that on the news. Awesome that you participated. Did you take that picture? Very moving.
Monica, yes, voting for Maryland!!
Thank you everyone for the warm welcome to the group. I won't be able to make the meet and greet this coming weekend but look forward to meeting all of you at the next one.
Well Christian's news this morning was just the best beginning to a great weekend. Cal, my husband, and I will celebrate our 22nd anniversary tomorrow, so Memorial Day weekend is busy, but very important to us. Always take a few moments to be thankful for those who gave so we can enjoy our daily freedom! Remember, all gave some, some gave all. God bless those who gave their all.
