FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Most of us have been posting discussions segregated by ship and division, but maybe we can get to know each other based on our PIR date--we will all be in Great Lakes on the same weekend.

Oh I forgot to post this - I got a letter yesterday! Now how could have forgotten that? But in his letter he said that they are now able to send mail out on Wed., Fri. and Mondays! Yeah - more letters. He did not say if it is just his division or for everyone. Lets pray that it is for everyone!

Kathy - so sorry to hear about your son and like someone else said - thank him for his willingness to serve. I will pray that the next chapter in his life is a good one.
SCE - Chin up. I can't imangine how hard this must be for you and as much as you don't want to hear it - it just may take a little time. It will happen though!

Like the other ladies, I am sorry to read about this situation.I really hope and pray that your son get well soon and a solution for his allergies.

I received a LETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!
He said he is counting the days to PIR,too!!
He signed the letter with his 1st,middle name and last name and he added in parenthesis (tu hijo) your son,in case I might forgotten....
I feel that he sound so proper!
