Most of us have been posting discussions segregated by ship and division, but maybe we can get to know each other based on our PIR date--we will all be in Great Lakes on the same weekend.

Lisa Ann, My son in A school is a boxer man. He HATED the whitie tighties! He said he even went without sometimes! He was so glad to get to A school! He is now back to boxers! I did tell him to get a white pair! Dress Whites would look bad with some weird pair of colorful boxers! lol So to answer your question, as soon as they check into A school they can wear what ever they want! The girls can even go back to make up and shaving!

Got my form letter today. Ship 10 Division 067.
I had been addressing my letters incorrectly (right address and zip code but wrong name format) It should be as follows:
Sr Last name, First name, Middle initial.

I guess I forgot he was a Sailor! (Sr)

Yesterday I went window shopping to the mall my son and I used to go,I even planned to go to the movies, but suddenly I felt SO SAD and I prayed to God again there to help me overcome this...Then after a while was like my mind went blank, did'nt thought about nothing;I had lunch, and when I was eating this thought came to me "he is well, eating good food and you must take care of yourself to see and know all the things he'll achieve" after that I was much better and calm. Somebody mentioned a roller coaster before, yes it is!!!
Charlotte I liked your posting very much,YES he always wanted to be in the military,he was a member of Civil Air Patrol,Phoenix Cadets, I supported him,always...
Have a nice day.

I'm still feeling like this is a big deal. My son's A school will last 1-2 years, and I don't think he'll be home again until NEXT Christmas. Life is changing here, and it will take some getting used to.
