FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Most of us have been posting discussions segregated by ship and division, but maybe we can get to know each other based on our PIR date--we will all be in Great Lakes on the same weekend.

We stayed at Navy Lodge,near base,shuttles info available at counter;best shuttle for me "Alternative Transp" 847 530 3583 very nice and affordable fares.
PIR very moving,my son was so "quiet",so polite,taking care of his uniform and coat all the time...At the restaurant,polite,very nice...He said he love me and that he missed me,of course I said the same to him...but he knows,you notice it,that he is an adult,independent,wise...

He feels very proud,you notice the way he behaves...

This is maybe old news, but I don't have time to look through all the posts. There are 14 photos from yesterday at the RTC Facebook site of divisions 067 and 068 who were visited by the Chicago Cubs. I don't see my son, but your may see yours! Click on the link and page through the photos.

Is anyones loved ones job a machinist on a sub?
My husband wrote and said he is going to Groton, Connecticut for sub school.
I was wondering if anyone knew how long his schooling will b and if my sons and I can go with him???
