KayCee- happy birthing day to you!! Sometimes we tend to forget this was a special day for us moms too!! So smile cuz today a few years back you made a difference by giving birth to a very incredible child!!!! Hope you have a great day also!

and happy birthday to your sailor!

Good morning Everyone and like Chipmunk - I'm wishing all Mom's and Grandma's an early Happy Mother's Day!

I follow along and try to keep up on the posts here.  I feel like I "know" many of you by keeping up on the chatter.  Wish I had a better opportunity to get on and be more involved in posts, but please know how much I learn and appreciate all the love, support and information you all provide.  Really this has been an incredible place for me to feel like I'm not the only one...

Today is a little emotional for me as it is my sailors birthday.  I looked through pictures last night and it feels as if were just yesterday that he was so little.  Tears as I am missing him so much.  This is a tough week for him.  Finishing up his ICE labs today, and studying this weekend for his comp exam on Monday.  He's in my prayers.

Thank you all again for sharing your pictures, encouragements, knowledge, thoughts and every day life.  I appreciate it so much.  Wishing a Happy Day to this amazing group!

Hi all - Happy Thursday!

Wow CoTwin - those are awesome pictures!  Looks like fun   ;-D Like NancyJo said, glad he's found some friends with like interests!

Sending prayers for all that are testing - it's really never ending lol!

NancyJo - glad the family has a little time for some fun on the trip.  I don't know anything about Dodge City but I'll bet they can find some interesting things to explore!

I've been enjoying the weather - not too hot for me lol!  My mom told me she had to turn on her AC yesterday too.  We are soooo close to being done with her house.  She has 11 offers and her agent told everyone to give their best & final offer by 5pm today.  So hopefully by tomorrow we'll know more and she will get escrow started.  A few guys from my work went over yesterday and helped clean out the garage and they are going back next week to finish.  Thank goodness for them!

Wow, COTwin, glacier climbing! Awesome! I'm so happy he found buddies with like interests, especially since he expressed wanting to be off the grid. I was worried about him being alone. No worries now.

My AC has been on for more than a week. I don't like heat.

My sailor made it to Phoenix. He's taking the southern route to avoid taking his somewhat older vehicle across the Rockies. They're making it a family trip. He wants to spend a night in Dodge City KS thinking there might be cool western stuff to see. Any moms out there in the know about this?

Comment by Chipmunk on May 10, 2018 at 9:21am

NNLori - Yes, this ICE test is the one that my son struggled with, mostly because he ran out of time to get all the information down he needed and a few other things. Thoughts and prayers for all the sailors.

Happy Mother's Day for all of our Moms and Grandmas - This is another busy weekend coming up for me, so I figured I better send out the best wishes early and Monday 14th is Comp Day for sailors of some of my friends so all the best to everyone!!

Thank you everyone for some insight into what Power School classes will look like. I didn't realize that the classes are separated by rate. I thought they would be mixed together. News to me. So thank you!! That is why I can't live without this site. I learn so much from all of you!!

This is a stressful next week or so. My son is taking the last ICE test as we speak. I talked to him finally after he got home from studying at 9 last night, and he was stressed. "This test is bad, the worst yet" he told me!! I just encouraged him and told him, all you can do is your best! Your working hard and you will do your best, that's all you can do. It will be enough. It's so hard to be so far away and so helpless. All I can do is reassure him that he as got this . My thoughts and prayers are with the entire class as they navigate these last couple weeks!

I've got my AC on in the car also. LOL!

I have Hawaii in my thoughts.

Co Twin those are incredible pictures.  Looks like he is fitting in with his new lifestyle.

Ceej0347 & Kai Cat - we have had the A/C on as well in house and car, but that is because it hit close to 90' today!! So much for spring, summer is here to stay in OK!!

CO-TwinSalorsMom- My youngest son looked at those pictures, enlarged on my computer, and said, Wow! that takes some upper body strength!! Thanks for sharing.

B'sNukeMom - I agree, I don't like being waken by the earthquakes we have around here occasionally. But yes, prayers for HI, looking at some of those pictures yesterday was rather sobering.

Cotwin- thanks for sharing - those are beautiful!!

I’m just starting this adventure with my first at GC. My second son (junior in HS) is now contemplating the military as well. Not sure where I went right in raising these fine young men- but I know God sure helped a lot!!!!

kai cat- too funny about the a/c - I’m in Illinois and my sons asked for it on as well - the temp might not be so high, but that spring sun sure is hot!

Comment by Rebecca J on May 9, 2018 at 10:18pm

Wow...those pictures are awesome!
