Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Looks like there are lots of sailors going to be heading home soon. I also saw today that the GW is starting it's journey home and preparing for the historic 3-way swap....and here my son on the Truman is just wanting to get out on the ocean so he can see what it's like lol!

I wish I could be there for homecoming but then I think how my son has to reintegrate and how glad his family will be to see him, and I am content to give them that time. He has only been out 6 months compared to 10 months for most of those sailors since he joined the ship late. I feel for those who have been gone so long. God bless our sailors!

Just you wait, you moms in the pipeline. It doesn't end at proto graduation. It's just a whole new adventure. Thanks for being there! I don't know what I would do without N4M.

Helicopter news was very sad along with the Midshipman killed in train accident. For those out in the midwest and all those tornadoes hope everyone is safe.

Boywondermom - thanks for giving us the lowdown on what to expect. Doesn't sound to pleasant, college courses sounds like a good idea. My son is unfortunately an E4 so will be living on the barracks. I know my husband had a bunch of roomates and lived off base as an E4 just paid rent; I wonder if you can still do that. I'll pm you on when he is reporting so our sons can hopefully hookup. We are going down to Virginia Beach area about 2 weeks after my son arrives. we have a trailer and there is suppose to be a really nice state park called first landing we will be there for a week. I'll shoot you the details, he's welcome to escape there with us if he has any time off while we are there.

I find it funny that they text or call at such hours and we do not bat an eye at that. So happy to hear from our kids it doesn't matter when they call, text or message. Mine both tend to hit me for middle night contact. Like last night. My nuke forgot to consider that at 8pm his time is midnight mine. LOL
