For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Comment by CO-TwinSalorsMom on July 10, 2013 at 11:16am: Sam texted this AM. 5:00!! He I think found an activity he does well, running. He came in 3rd out if over 80 runners. He has really long legs as he is 6'4" . He has been getting up early to go running.

Comment by Mark on July 10, 2013 at 12:04am: NavArm-yMom - one other thing to be aware of is that as an MM (bravo zulu to Janet for her deductive skillz) :) there is a chance his thirty days leave could be delayed three months if he's picked for either ELT school (would be at prototype site), or welder (would be in Groton). The chances of him getting either is about 25% for ELT, and (if he gets subs) ~10% for welder. The better his performance, the better his chances if that's what he wants.

So, sounds like my prayers and plans should be focused on hoping that prototype ends/his 30 day leave coordinates with one of my breaks from this, my last year of grad school... and that I get a "green light" to have some visitation time with him and his wife.

Comment by bclmomct on July 9, 2013 at 10:57pm: Picked our son up on Wednesday the 3rd and kept him until . It was so great to spend time with him. His graduation from A school is Friday and then he flies home. Can't wait to have him for 8 wonderful days!!!

By the way -- does anyone have a son or daughter in 1317 that will be graduating. I would love it if someone would snap a couple of pix for me since our plans got messed up when they changed the graduation by a week just a few weeks before graduation.

I miss them but I know they are on an awesome path to becoming men.

good luck to all the moms and their sons who will be leaving for bc soon!! we have all been there and it is hard at first. I can still remember how I felt when my son left. that was two years ago. my house was never that clean before he left!!LOL for the eight weeks he was in bc, I was cleaning!!
