Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Comment by JenG on May 29, 2012 at 11:03pm: Mine left out of O'Hare, but I don't know that that is always the case. I told mine to write down his flight info on a piece of paper that he could keep in his wallet and give to me after PIR. I believe that HE didn't get that info until a day or two before PIR. We met him at the airport at 1:30 a.m.

Comment by JenG on May 29, 2012 at 11:38am: tkmec5...My sailor is in class 1235A...he's also an MM. His PIR was 5/18. I don't think he was starting classes until today...but I know nothing really. I feel like a baby bird, eagerly waiting for any tidbits he'll feed to me. :o)

I don't know if I will be able to swing it. But they hope to be home in September so at least if I don't get out there before, I will see the baby shortly after. I'm just grateful I was able to make PIR and Powerschool.

Comment by NancyJo (NNPTC) on May 29, 2012 at 10:46am: uffda6, if there is one event that is ok to miss, it would be A school graduation. PIR and Powerschool are huge but A school is more low-key. My son told me don't bother for A school just focus on Powerschool, but I know some parents make all of them. My point is, if you have to miss one, A school is the best. You don't want to miss Powerschool if you can possibly help it!!

I want to make it to his A school graduation, but I am not sure it is a really busy year for me with my own school. I have 5 residencies and conferences to attend in this next year, but I am working on it.

A special thanks for all of those serving our country. (Sorry for the delay I could not sign in all day yesterday).

@ nukemom my son is in the same class, he told me they are working on their phasing up this week, so I am keeping our class in extra prayer.
