Thanks Dotsy & Mark- we will check out those apts...

Dotsy/heebsmom - a few years back I lived in Port Orchard, just off the freeway 25 minutes from Bangor in a complex where there were lockable storage units that would house a motorcycle comfortably. They're called the Orchard Pointe (love that classy "e") Apts.

My son just called and told me that he will class up for prototype on Feb 17 and will stay in So Carolina - he graduated from Power School on Oct 7.

He wants ELT.  Does anyone know how long after prototype, ELT classes have been starting?

Hey any advise? my son has to report for duty on the Seawolf later in Jan. so he and his wife are looking for a place to rent in Bremerton Wa. Does anybody know of a person on the base with advice on where to rent? We have just been looking on the web, and just haven't found anything.

Thanks,

I always have a smile as I read ;)  Daughter 1 never had a bottle; nursed till 13 mos and was happy.  Daughter 2 nursed about 2 mos; had a bottle till about 9 mos and drank from a cup from then on...NO sippy cup for her.  Nuke son nursed till about 9 mos but not exclusively; he was easy to get along with.

Heather, we are all saying it...do what makes you and your baby happy!  And, believe in yourself...you know it all cuz you are a mom now :)

I have been off the N4M site for almost a month now... shame on me huh?  I have been keeping better watch on the FB site.  I will be a better N4M participant in this new year, I owe so much to this group, I could not have made it these past 6 months without all of you.  Thank you for sharing so much of yourselves with all the N4M family.  The stories and laughter help you remember there are others out there that feel the same way you do and that is a huge help.  Hope everyone's New Year is off to a great start.

The b'feeding stories, ah, we're all sisters under the sun. At 6 months, a nursing mom, I had to give a deposition in federal court. All eyes on me ... or rather, my suit, which had 2 very wet spots you know where. I was mortified. Went home and dug out a bottle, weaned my little nuke  that week. 6 months is weaning time for our broodmares, they get carrots to help them thru it ... I had to settle (poor me) for rum raisin ice cream. Heather, feed your baby however, wherever, whenever you please  .. you're the expert on your child! But know that your fellow nuke moms got your back!!

Heather, I nursed the Nuke ( my preemie) until he was about 18 months.  We read ALL the time.  Dad would cuddle up with us and take his turn reading as well. He loved to be cuddled and rocked. Son #2(Currently College Boy) nursed until he was about 16 months old.  But he would eat and be done.  Wanted to be read to, but wanted to play while being read to..  A definite multi-tasker from day one.

I agree with Nancy Jo.  You will figure out what works best for you and Nicholas.  Your choice is YOUR choice and no body should make you feel bad for the decision you make.

One of Sailor Son's Nuke buddies is a fairly new daddy and Sailor Son is smitten with his precious baby.  It's fun to watch he and his other sailor buddy melt into jelly when they talk about this little girl.

With no current GF in the picture, it will probably be a long time before the grandbabies come my way... *sigh*  I will just baby my grand DOGter...  (who has itchy, dry skin this winter!)   That's alright.  Gram-cracker will take care of you, poochy!

Heather, what a beautiful little boy.  Congratulations.  I would love to get my hands on a newborn.  My youngest's fourth birthday is today.  (My oldest is my nuke.)
