For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Comment by Bandito's Mom on August 15, 2011 at 10:45am: My "pink" laundry story worked in reversed I had a Red Jacket that I was contemplating washing, so it was in the laundry room. Hubby decided to do some wash and threw it in too. End result, he hardly ever does any laundry ever again, and if he does, he only does his own stuff.

The flip side, I got angry at son when he was about 12. Don't even remember what the issue was, but hubby heard it and from that instance forward SR has had to do his own laundry. He does the cram as much as possible in the load, style.

He is from Illinois, marched with the Madison Scouts for 2 years and just switched to the Blue Devils. We saw them 4 weeks ago at the Phantom hosted show in Rockford, Illinois. It was awesome. Yes the Cadets were great. My sister and her family and my mom were there watching as well. Very proud of my nephew. He has 4 more years before he ages out.

I wanted to be in a corp, but timing wasn't right. I know all those you are talking about, and they are all awesome to watch. I'm from Indy, and my heart goes out to all those that were there, how scary it would have been to be out in that storm. Glad you are ok though!

Comment by CindyLou (Louisville) on August 14, 2011 at 12:11pm: We also had the storm yesterday in S.E. Michigan. My youngest son was on Lake St. Clair at the tie off (big lake boat party). I was worried to death until he returned my text a couple hours after the storm. He had made it off the Lake 1/2 hour before the storm came. I noticed a few new gray hairs on my head this morning!

Grad Hold is a tuff place; hopefully they will speed things up. However, they are probably learning patience and how to entertain themselves without getting into trouble (we hope)!
