Hey ladies...yep, that was me!  I miss that old group..I stay in contact with alot of the ladies from our PIR group either here on N4M or FB.  There is a great group Emily started on FB as well, for Nuke moms!  Many of us are on that...if you are not a part of it, message me or her and we can invite you!

I've talked with my son, my hubby has talked to him and his GF has talked to him. He seems to be doing ok considering everything.  Only time will tell now.  HIs SLPO has talked with him quite a bit as well, so I think he is doing much better now. I will keep everyone updated. I don't know when we will hear something...I would think we should know something tomorrow???

Hope you all have a great day today!!  It's ridiculously hot!!!  Supposed to be over 100 for the next week...uugggghhh....if its going to be that hot and I have to sweat and all, I'd rather be someplace where its supposed to be that hot....like Arizona!!  Or south fla next to a beach, or Texas next to a beach...I really hope Fall comes soon!!!!

Whereas before T-track uses to be considered a stress-free relaxing downtime between schools, with these 12/24 watches it has become a hellish ordeal that seems designed to keep the trainees disoriented and exhausted at all times. Is it being done to keep them out of the bars? Lol.

It will be fun to get to know everyone with sailors in the same class together! Mine is ET, grad A School 6/10. I know we/they will all be in different sections, but still...

I was in Sherri's PIR 12/3/10 group too! Sad to see it go inactive, but understandable I guess. I went back to steal the link for the countdown clock to put on my page - 207 days until Power School grad!

Dodie he was pretty good all spring with communicating. I think it's just this first week of watch and trying to get adjusted to sleeping every other day and every other night. Sounds like a few of us will be in power school together! He is ET, graduated 6/24 and I was there annemarie, but my camera decided to not work when i put new batteries in the car in it!!  so i didnt get any pics sadly. his mom did on her phone but i have yet to see those from her

Sherri,  I just put two and two together.  You are the administrator of PIR 12/3/10. I check back from time to time but it seems like most members have moved on. Having access to this site had really helped me deal with all the uncertainty. It's good to know others are experiencing the same doubts, fears and unanswered questions.

Dodi and Andi, I've got one to he's an ET his class was 1115 but may have been combined with 1114.  He graduated from A school on June 24th.  Did either of you attend?  I'd love to see some pictures.  Aaron was home for 8 days.  It was great. It was good to see him relaxed and tension free.

nvmomma, my son is supposed to class up for power school 8/18 as well. He'll be home in 5 days for leave. He didn't want leave immediately after A School last month because one of friends back home is getting married next weekend.

Andi, your son sounds like mine. I heard from almost daily when he first arrived in GC last December. Now that he has his car & all of his nuke friends, I usually have to leave several messages for him before he finally decides to call me back...sigh.

Andi, I wonder if our sailors will be in the same power class? Mine is supposed to class up Aug. 18; what's your sailor's rate?

Emily that is more than I am getting right now. The bf is on hold for power school doing watches. They are on 12/24s. he started with an overnight watch tuesday, slept all day wednesday, we facebook chatted a little wednesday, then yesterday i sent a text asking if he had night watch. several hours later got a "up" text back. havent heard from him since. so you are not alone! he has never been good with phones or internet. doesnt like being "bothered" haha
