Sharon, thanks for sharing.  Tell Kacy she has a gift!  :)

btw, thought you guys might need a laugh, so here goes.  My son turns 21 in a few weeks.  I asked what he wanted for his birthday (expecting something technical, video game, etc.)  He sent me a link for footed pajamas...that have the NAVY insignia, and US NAVY on them!  ROFL!  I asked him if he would sweat to death, and he said no...send them right away.  So, your sailors will know who he is...the guy with the full length, footed jammies...

Luv

The first thing I gave Bink after PIR was his contacts. He couldnt have them until then, whether that was a real rule or not.

With 89 pages to read, I gave up when I discovered my own posts and realized I was rereading. I briefly skimmed all the fun stuff you all talked about while I finished the last two weeks of school and hightailed my butt to NY for baby girl's 14th birthday. So here's my take on what I caught:

cake balls--did experiments with reduced cakes from the grocery (in case they were total failures!) Took some to my niece's grad party and everyone said they were cute and impressive. Back in Louisville, I have red velvet cake with french vanilla creamer and pecans AND a vanilla cake with strawberry filling. These are not dipped and are wondering how much longer they might be hanging out in the freezer. I may try some blueberry muffins (ala similiar to twinkies in that they will survive with the cockroaches forever) that I have up here.

My perfect car: 73 superbeetle convertible. Daddy said if I could drive that, I could drive anything. I used to love flying down the road in that little yellow car.

Happy graduation Emily! I thought about you as I flew through Ohio in my little grey airplane on Sunday!

Binker told me that taking classes is based upon your power school gpa.

Bink and Lady want to go to Ballston Spa to be closer to our family. Hers is in Idaho. If I get to move up here this year, we can hop the train in syracuse and be there in a heartbeat.

Sharon, your daughter's poem is beautiful

I've got to make reservations for next week. Oh the pain of waiting until the last minute. If only I didnt have to travel with other people!

Erg. Sure wish someone would drop airfare in my lap about now. I do not like that I am missing my son's grad Friday. What rich aunt am I forgetting about? :)

Now I have a question for you all....

if a sailor is having problems in power school--with one class--can you all tell me what will happen?  He's on mandatory study time, and it has helped greatly in all classes except physics....he's really still struggling in that one.  Will they boot someone for one class or hold him back to try and retake this???  Just wondering...a little anxious for my son, he's really having problems for some reason in the physics classes....

Hey all, I've not went to read the whole Delta mess, but I can tell you the bags should be free....My ex hubby works for them ...now not at all taking their side on this, but the gate agent can make the decision about not charging them.  One time Michael and his buddies got their bags for free---now I know that Michael's dad works for them, but Delta didn't know it--the other boys were checked in first and michael did not fly free that time as he usually does with them, he had bought a ticket.  Michael has been charged everytime he flies on Southwest...so he will not fly them again and neither will I...THeir response to me asking about why they charged him for the fee was "its the policy".  American and US Air both has not charged him either....

I really think it's who is at the ticket counter and what kind of mood they are in....I've had many who won't let family back, but then talk with another agent and they do....there needs to be a universal policy in place that ALL airlines should abide by!!!!
