Wow, Emily, you are the best!  I just got my invite.  For some reason I thought Aarom was in Ballston Spa.  How do you find the time to organize all these things.  More importantly you think them, plan them and then make it happen.  I can't wait.

haha. Sorry, in the Charleston/Goose Creek area.
I tend to refer to it as "down there" since I'm from Ohio. I forget that its not always "down" for everyone else. :P

I created an event: "Nuke Moms Get Together :) " for those of us who are going to be down there mid-June. I invited everyone who was on my friend's list, but that doesn't mean the rest of you aren't invited!!
We can discuss a time and place on the event wall. :)

mommajo...my son's college career, (one year) had the same obstacles.  A friend he made in college sat in my living room while he took a shower.  I heard he was doing well and I knew my son was not.  I asked him if he had any insight into why my son was having so much difficulty.  His answer was, "Well he'd have to get up and go to class in order to pass it. Once he's there he has NO difficulty, just getting him there is so damn hard."  I really liked the kids candor.  I guess the Navy has no problem getting him there.

Went to visit my dad for memorial day; no internet.  Spent a good morning reading, laughing, and a few tears catching up.

New cars~and my son did a new truck.  Thought he was going to wait till after PS grad but, no, the one and only perfect one was found.  He explained he would rather "invest" in the truck than whereever else his money was going.  And, one tatt was bypassed, "priorities."

So excited; leaving here the 15th to drive 7 hours to Denver then flying to GC the 16th for grad the 17th.  Whole family is going...2 daughters, 2 SIL, 3 grandsons, DH, and my dad!  Jeff said worst embarassment of his life would be to not pass comps.

College~as I read I remember the hardest part for him was getting to class.  He just didn't.

Recruiter~Didn't know a lot about the nuke program but did a lot of research with Jeff.  Helped with waivers and most importantly, encouraged trying.

Ooh, long winded.   Have a great day, ladies.

By the time they get out to sea they will probably be wishing grad hold had been even longer Lol.

Thank you everyone for so much information.  I sent it to my son, but now I think I overloaded him since I haven't heard anything back from him yet.  Will wait and see.

that's great Savannahgal-nukemom.  Congrats and have a fun time in  Charleston.  I think we'd all give anything to be as close to Goose Creek as you are.  Lucky you.

Woo-hoo, my sailor said he passed his comp today at Goose Creek-- he's in 1110.

His birthday is on Thursday, so dh and I are going up to take him out to dinner and then attend the A-school graduation on Friday.  We are fortunate to live only a couple of hours away.
