Ladies, thank you for all your well wishes. We have had a wonderful time together as a family. We have spent the whole day together. Took our Sailor shopping and got him some civies that fit. He had said he would be able to wear them this weekend and now I understand! Afterwards, we all went to movies and saw, "Tangled" Had a great time and none us were under 22 years old.

Karen,
We Skyped last night for the first time too. Talked to my son for almost an hour. His roommate is gone for the weekend so he was being his goofy old self. Geez, that boy. There is some accessory, or application, (not sure the right lingo) for Skype to where they can make the image we see go very strange and all kinds of different faces/pictures. It's wild. He kept doing that and frustrating his sister who does not yet know how to do that stuff. It was fun though, and good to see that he's still himself yet taking things very seriously when he has to. His classes just started this week on Monday and he posted on Facebook "Goodbye fun Nick, hello serious Nick." Too funny but good to know he realizes he needs to take it seriously. Time and place for everything.
Sounds like everyone has had a nice Thanksgiving. That is so great.
Dor, glad that dinner came out great for your son. He is the expert now.

We went out shopping this morning, but have to say we didn't get up until 5:00. Just didn't want to do it. Got a couple of the good deals that I wanted anyway, so that worked out. Now on to internet deals and waiting for cyber Monday.

Mary, My son had a burger at Hooters for Thanksgiving also! Too funny. He said they usually go to the restaurants that one of the guys has a crush on a waitress :) Not sure if he went to a movie. We were able to skype for the first time last night. Now I want to do that everyday!!

Diana, What a wonderful surprise! Brings shivers and tears....

My son told me he was having dinner with a family for Thanksgiving. What he didn't tell me was the we were the family! He surprised us (with the help of his sister) by flying from GC to Phoenix, AZ to be with us for Thanksgiving. It was our early Christmas present! Having a wonderful holiday.

My son is in New York (Prototype) and several of his classmates and himself were invited by two of his instructors and their wives who live across the street from each other for dinner. He had these two days off and called to say he was having a great time and the food looked great. He always loved it when we deep-fried our turkey and they roasted one and deep-fried one. Glad he was having a great time as he will have to work Christmas (overnight shift I believe). Thanks to all the instructors and officers who gave a nice time to our sailors, away from home, some for the first time. Last year my son went to Florida with his roommate to his family so he has been well cared for since joining.
