Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Comment by DebbieinCA on March 26, 2010 at 1:00pm: Pylfer, I couldn't say it better than Pat and Navy/Army Mom. Stay with us, pour out your sadness to us. We can relate. We have been through it and are still going through it on occasion.
It is really hard to have the child we love so deeply and take care of daily, suddenly so far away!! ...and now dependent on the Navy instead of us. The Navy won't care for them the way we do, but that's a good thing. The Navy matures them, makes them strong and independent, and gives them skills they can use for the rest of their lives whether they stay in the Navy or not.
Lean on us Pylfer. We'll be your shoulder to cry on and we'll prop you up until you can stand on your own again. Soon, you'll be giving the same advice to someone else. :-)

North Korea is the nation that scares me the most. Their leader is just nuts enough to declare war on the U.S. and just underhanded enough to strike at our ships and subs with no advance warning, then claim they were justified because we were spying on them or some nonsense.

You have us! We'll be here for you because that's what we do...support our loved ones while we stay close to each other here so that we can give news, get news, explain things or have things explained to us and probably most importantly, when those difficult moments come and we feel very sad because someone we love is far away and we just want to cry even though we're very proud.

Here's a big Navy mom hug. Don't feel that you need to keep your chin up for us, we ALL understand! Please take care and we hope you'll find some comfort here with us.
