Casey, Seems like someone mentioned a car rental called Rent a Wreck, maybe in Charleston. They will rent to younger drivers. The cars aren't as bad as the title sounds, it's just that there are no frills.

Dear Terry, So sorry to hear of your husband's car accident. Will pray for him and a speedy recovery. Also will send a prayer out for Aaron as I know it is very hard for him that he can't be there. Best wishes to you all, Pat

My nuke nephew called last night and we talked for a good long time. He finishes A school soon. He is tired and short on sleep, says he studies and is in class for up to 16 hours a day or more.

He sounded undecided as to whether he'd take leave and come home. I think he's enjoying being an adult with a life not dominated by women. We had a good long chat, and since we're both sailors, we talked about some pretty nitty gritty sailor stuff. Yep, the fundamentals of military life do not change, except it is easier than ever to get into trouble.

Classmates... there's a friendly veneer, but there's always someone who does not like you, yet must work alongside you. It gets worse in the fleet.

They live off base while they are in NY, so your son will have to find roommates to share a house with while he's there. Tell him not to sign a lease until at least one of the group has actually seen the place. Some of the rentals are not quite what they are advertised. He his getting to NY at a beautiful time of the year.

Dawn,
It is very infrequently done work involving the purification system. I'm really not comfortable getting more specific than that - but I think Hannah will figure it out from that much info...

Laurie,
It sounds like you and Gary did a wonderful job homeschooling Tyler. With his background, he'll be one of the guys who cruise through Power school. The sheer amount of memorization will challenge him, but the concepts should be pretty easy for him, with the calculus he's had. Math ability is the best indicator for how well they will do in the other subjects, so it will transfer.
Becca, yes there is a set schedule - each prototype class starts two weeks after graduating Power school, if I remember correctly.
