For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

We just joined this group. My husband and I have been here in Virginia Beach, VA. for the last 23 years. We have a ministry to the Sailors stationed here(and of course Soldiers and Marines) :)

We open our home on the weekends and invite them into our home. We feed them, play board games, watch movies, sometimes go on short trips, and if they are here on the holidays we invite them to join us to celebrate! If you want to know more about us, go to our page on this site and you will get a better idea of what we do. :)

B'sNukeMom - Oli sounds like he is growing and growing. My little one is pulling himself up and standing at the kitchen cabinets and started climbing their stairs!

I believe we have some new members - Welcome!!. I know B'sNukeMom has been swamped with things and I have been busy as well with some family matters also, so I haven't been able to be on as much lately.

Comment by TallyMom on August 15, 2023 at 11:59am: I am not sure if all submarines offer the Tiger Cruise. This submarine has males and females aboard. And since it's the biggest sub, there was room for all of us. They also take on Midshipmen visits. Also fun for me, my son's girlfriend is on the same submarine, so I got to see her, too!

Comment by TallyMom on August 15, 2023 at 10:32am: My son is on an Ohio-class nuclear submarine and I was able to do a Tiger Cruise! I was on the boat with him and all the crew (plus 45 other moms, dads, and wives) for a couple of days underway! If you ever get the chance to do this - DO IT! I highly recommend. What an awesome experience.
