does anyone have any ideas for what to get sailors for Christmas? My daughter is still in school and she says she does not need anything. So I don't know what to get her or what the can even have. Any help would be great. Thanks everyone ♥

I had no idea there was a navyformoms booth.  I would love to hear about that.  Is it used anywhere else during the year?

I have my Nukes presents all wrapped, packed and ready to ship tomarrow. I wish he was coming home and I could give him them in person.

CHECK THE FURNACE by licensed heating and cooling vendor.

This just in. Client called my yesterday - smoke was coming out of her floor heater. The seller installed a carbon monoxide detector (but forgot to put batteries in). The fire department was called. She called Fidelity Home Warranty. The service technician said the floor furnace parts are no longer being made; therefore, she'll have to install either a wall furnace or forced air heating. They would only pay $350 for wall furnace w her share at $4200 or $5200 for forced air.  One of my vendors charged $1800 to install a wall furnace three years ago. Looks like, I am going to be rattling some cages come Monday.  Yes, the furnace was old and was working in July when escrow was closed.

They speak in complete sentences when they need something. That will be the opportunity for you to reply, "Hey, yo just hang brb."

Thank God for girlfriends ... if it weren't for my son's sweetie, I'd have no photos of his Navy life. She's really good about sending me random cell phone pics of the two of them in Charleston. I LIVE for those pictures!

Thank you. Thank you. My underlying philosophy is "Do the right thing." (others say, "What would Jesus do?"). I believe in "what goes around comes around" - I don't make the most money in my community but I feel great about the service my clients have gotten over the years. I do things my company does not want me to do because the lawyers think I am expanding my level of responsibility. For example, a client had a drainage issue. The man/bread winner was a workaholic. Wife simply didn't want to deal with it. I worked w her, applied for the permits, got the estimates, got the inspector from the city, etc. etc. This was in preparation for putting the home on the market. Fully disclosed to all potential buyers. Everyone happy before and after. Multiple offers by the way.

When my sailor leaves in Navy in April '12, I will be transitioning to a more supportive role. One of my project is to put together a packet for renters - so our sons/daughters can use as a guideline when they go out and rent apartments. So many of them get screwed because they are inexperienced and can't always call mom and dad to review the paperwork.  J's mom, looks like you are on the right track.
