Made my first balls this weekend.  Made the oreo cookie/cream cheese frosting ones - dipped them in yellow melting chips & put smiley faces on them - the Sunday School kids I teach loved them (and so did the big kid helpers).

Connie yes it is a smartphone its full name is Droid Incredible 2 it is made by HTC. The phone was release just a few weeks ago by Verizon so it is their newest smart phone. It is better than my Droid X. I was surprised the phone worked OK in his room. We are at the Atlanta airport waiting for Boston flight now.

William, is the HTC Incredible 2 a smartphone? My son has a Blackberry Bold (he got it because that's the same model his girlfriend has) and we're due for an upgrade on 3 of the phones on our Verizon family plan, so now would be a good time to upgrade our son  since he gets poor reception in his room .... my husband and I always get the free cheapie phones but maybe I could take my son's Blackberry! That way I could feel wayyy important, talking on my cell phone while I'm ankle-deep in horse doody or mud.

We spend a great weekend in Goose Creek visiting our son who is a ET student more than halfway through A school. I got him a phone upgrade through Verizon which unlike the old one works fine inside his dorm room. The new one is an HTC Incredible 2. His old Verizon phone a Voyager did not work at all in the room. We stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham and it was very nice, and close to the base. I drove his car from New Hampshire so now he has a car.

It is already over 90 degrees in Charleston and we are not used to it yet.

Hello.  I just joined here.  I am anticipating my son's PIR in GL on 6/10.  Is there any future advice out there for him that you heard from your sailors?  I'm assuming he will leave for SC 6/11 or 12.  Thank you!

The Navy assigns new students a roomate who is already abouy halfway through A school, usually of the same rating. They do not room two sailors who are fresh out of boot camp together. My son is more than halfway through A school and his roommate graduated A school and moved out several weeks ago. My son does not have a new roomate yet.

nvmomma~artsy is wonderful.  Can't do it but do appreciate those who can!!  Had a Subaru and loved it; doesn't hold 4 kids and 2 dogs.  I had thought of getting one after all the kids left but now there are grandkids :)  No complaints.

Elizabeth~My sentiments about Monday exactly.   Now I'm thinking the sooner it's over the sooner we can get to Friday.

Have a great day, all!
