Anyone from MM class 1107B going to A school graduation a week from Friday? i can't make it then, but would love it if you could get a picture or two for me.
Please let me know. Thanks so much.
smithersk, we're both from Michigan, but you are quite a bit farther away than I am! Quite a hike, yes.
How much snow do you have? We just got about 9 inches last night, expecting more tonight.
Hey smithersk! Aaron is in Power School with your son. :) What's his rate/do you know his section number?
Power School graduation is the biggest of the three (A school, Power School, Prototype). So, if you're going to go to one, it's the one to go to. :) If you join our discussion above, Power School Class 1101, there are other moms (and girlfriends/fiancees) that are in the same class. :)
As far as when we'll know where they're going... We'll never know for sure until we hear. haha. Could be in the next few weeks, but it could also be the week of graduation! Just depends on what kind of mood the Navy is in. ;)
They did look like penquins! My son hated how many pieces of clothing they had to wear! It was such a pain. At least my youngest who's going in April will graduate in June. Much nicer weather I would imagine. Plus, he'll probably graduate in his dress whites!! I'll love that!
Thanks Marybeth! Great info. My parents will love to come then. Also, my sister lives in Mt. Pleasant. I just came home today from a long weekend visit. She is only a 20 minute car ride away from the school. He did tell me that he will be on T-track for about 2 months before Power School. So, we will gladly bring him home with us after graduation if he wants to come. Then we'll just bring him back when he's got to be back. I'm so glad it's that easy for us. It's got to be hard for the parents who are a lot longer away.
My youngest is leaving for Bootcamp on the 14th of April. His A-school will be in Pensacola, FL. Quite a bit longer of a ride for us. Plus, his school is only 3 or 4 months. I'm so hoping we get to see him while he's there. We will definitately go to PIR. His will be in June sometime versus, my oldest whose was on 2/4! Freezing and so much snow!
As am I glad to be part of this group of wonderful friends and fellowship!
As I read this, some of you may have seen my post a couple of weeks ago with my younger son singing the National Anthem at our high school basketball game. He has been asked to do this at all the remaining games including Sectional and Regional basketball games, which if you are from Indiana, you know this is a HUGE deal.
What I was heading toward is since my sailor son, Cole, has proudly become a US Sailor, the National Anthem has never meant so much to me. I am very patriotic, but knowing I have one passionately serving and one passionately singing, could not make me agree and emphasize more that we need to pray for our leaders.
Take up a cause, pray for our nation and our world!
