Made cream cheese mints (dyed dark green) & brought them into work :)

Agree with Mark on possibly the initial spelling of Bangor.

Dor - congrats!  special ops sounds interesting

Mark- Knowing my mom, it was probably definitely misspelled. :)

I'm disappointed - nothing inappropriate came up when I googled "Bangor", I suspect it was misspelled in the search... ;)

I would love for my son to get stationed in Maine as I would love to see it one day.

I am tired today, to early to work, plus I have to work my second job tonight.  Looking forward to the weekend.

Sorry to hear about your son's ankle, I hope it heals fast!

Whew!  Haven't been on much over the last couple weeks,... Should probably take the time to review posts.  Been working alot with my Creative Problem Solving teams.. ( I've mentioned them before,,,, Destination ImagiNation?  Yeah!)  I coach 7 teams and all 7 are going to their state competition in April.  5 first places and 2 second places.  We swept 'em!

Anyway... I am headed out tonight for a long drive ( about 12.5 hours) to Goose Creek to see Cole in A school.  He has overnight liberty for the weekend and is looking forward to telling us EVERYTHING about everything... and of course treating us to dinner a couple times..... I am very excited and looking forward to seeing and hearing about his study time... especially since that is all he does.

It's AG day at our school and in the AG shop next to my office is a zoo today.  Instead of kids who are animals, it's kids AND animals today... so much for getting anything accomplished.  I should bring in my dog.  She would love to herd the sheep!

Irish blessing to you all!

May the roof above us never fall in.
And may the friends gathered below it never fall out.

Happy Day!   Love, Patti O'furniture!

Happy St. Patty's Day, all!

Not to minimize any of the nuclear and radiation issues in Japan, but I received a text from my son that places radiation issues here in some perspective:

He apparently received over twice the normal annual radiation of a person in the US last year, mostly because of the CT scan (maybe scans?) for his appendix.  More than four times what is received in a year from the environment alone.

I do remember him explaining a while ago that everyone gets a certain amount of radiation exposure just in their everyday activities.

Still saying lots of prayers for everyone in Japan.

amanda- Oops! I didn't plan the trip! My mother did!! haha. July just happens to be when his boat will be in port and my sister and I will both be out of school (she's a teacher). My mom is renting some cabin or something on the beach... She's alllll excited about it!

heebsmom- Please don't take that the wrong way! Nothing is wrong with Bangor! It's an absolutely beautiful area, and Aaron and I's top choice for orders is Bremerton and Everett. When my brother got his orders for Bangor, WA, my mom decided to do a little research and google it. Well all she typed in was Bangor and some extremely inappropriate ads and pictures popped up on her computer (and kept popping up no matter how many times she clicked out of them, that part is due to a virus on our computer I believe). She was extremely flustered about it for weeks. :)

Power School Class 1124? Anyone else in here have a son or daugther in that class starting school on Monday?

Comment by heebsmom on March 16, 2011 at 11:34pm

Hey Sherry, My son started prototype on Monday also, he has been waiting since Oct. 6th. So he is very excited to get going.

Emily, I live in Bellevue Wa. about an hour away from Bangor so I have to ask what is wrong with Bangor?
