For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Plus nail polish and stickers so I could do Lily's nails for her. She gets so excited when I paint them! :) We then headed over to McDonalds where they got to play on the playset. They LOVED it. The smiles they give me are just too priceless! :)

I'm off to Ohio tomorrow. I'm definitely going to cry when I leave them... I always do! haha.

nv: have you tried Oxiclean? I've used it for all kinds of stains. For really bad stains, I've soaked the stuff in Oxiclean overnight before washing. Sometimes I've had to do it twice to really get the stain out. I bet the stuff is similar to the "crystals" dish washer soap Sharon mentioned.

And . . . got our invitation today for our son's power school graduation. Woo hoo! Just love how the invitation contains a note that the school is challenging and demanding and recommends that we remain in contact with our sailor before "finalizing travel arrangements to avoid any inconvenience." Can't say they didn't warn us. And a good thing we waited before making any final travel arrangements for boot camp graduation--it was one year ago today that our son ruptured his appendix while he was in boot camp. Life sure is interesting.

I love cooking, find it to be very therapeutic....
