Hhaha nvmomma - I just got a new roommate, and went to open up the drawer with our kitchen utensils, and guess what the new roomie moved in with her? Yes indeed, the Pampered Chef mini spatula!! I definitely laughed out loud in my kitchen :)

connie foaling lady, I just checked amtrek's web site and they do run from Philadelphia to Charleston.  Limited choices, only 1 train a day, about 12 hrs  $176 to 229 one way.  At least you can get up and walk around.

Well, apparently, I save EVERYTHING. Remember when we were sharing our fav kitchen utensils and I said mine was a Pampered Chef mini spatula, but I melted it in the oven? Well, I was digging around in the attic today and I FOUND it! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha - I am ridiculous.

You won't have to worry about his assignment until Prototype. That's when he'll fill out his official "dream sheet" So you've got a little while, Swim, but trust me, the time really does fly by!! I feel like boot camp was just last week or something!!

Mama C...you should start a group discussion for class 1135 and 1136!  I don't think we have one yet, and eventually you'll have some company...????

Or, feel free to check in with our discussion for 1132/1133/1134...we're all just learning the ropes.

Just watched the Military Channel...program on submarines.  What a challenging life...Now I've watched some of the episodes on "Carrier" and the show on subs...and we'll leave the rest up to God.  No doubt my son will end up where he's supposed to be!  Won't have to worry about his assignment until...when?  maybe the end of Power School?  At least, it's good to know more about the lifestyle and some of the challenges.

Thanks, Emily.  I'll pass that along to my son.

Uhm. We were at the Wild Wings in N. Charleston on Rivers. Like the area right across from the mall. :) Wednesday night is apparently trivia night. They do like 5 different rounds, and there's prizes for each round, plus a final prize for whoever has the most points. Two of the rounds' winners got a $25 gift card to Wild Wings, and the other two got a free bucket of their choice of beer. The guys were really hoping for the beer, but we fell a little short. :P It was definitely a good time. :)

I guess they went to pizza hut the night before and it was trivia night there.

Emily, my son's been looking for a fun trivia night there in the GC area.  Which Wild Wings did you go to?  He said he's found one that's at a country club or something and his buddies didn't like it because it was kind of stuffy, and he said they found another one at a kind of raunchy scary place.  We've had a blast with trivia nights here at home.

nm linda, my son is also class 1104-10.  Unfortunately he's not planning on coming home for the 4th because it just costs too much to fly home and back.  It's a 20-hour drive, so that won't work either.  I'm really going to miss him.
