Hey ladies....

@swim...prayers to you, we're here for you and I know you'll make it through basic!

@Jennifer, thanks for the information...I couldn't imagine that anyone that was still in school would be going over there....I can see helping with cleanup, but not for the nuclear part...my hubby had said same thing too--he was cryogenic engineer in Navy-was supposed to go Nuke, but during the physical they found out he was color blind--so he couldn't do the whole Nuke thing!

Prayers to those of you who have sons/daughters/BF's/Gf's/etc in Japan or Hawaii..or any of the places affected!  Keep us informed on your family!

Well, my son is back in GC now.  We had a good week with him home.  He did a lot of "resting" and playing with friends, a lot of Playstation too.  I think in some ways he was ready to get back and continue in his new life.  He's already stripped his bed and washing the sheets, walked to the mini nex to pick up supplies, and getting back in the groove.  Good think is that we will be in GC in two weeks when we take his truck back, and get to stay the whole week.  Bad news is that after that it will be about 8 months before we see him again.  heavy sigh.  It's all good though.

We didn't change our clocks until this morning. We usually do it before we go to bed, but forgot. It is all good, didn't go anywhere this morning anyway. We are just hanging at the house today. Korey went out to the store to get a new baseball mitt, he and hubby looked yesterday and didn't find anything so he went to a different sports store today. I mde homemade Gluten-free Strawberry Muffins this morning and they are really tasty! Then we found all of the Easter mold and I will be starting to making chocolates probably on Wednesday. I have to get things in order before I start. I am so excited to be making chocolates again!! I will also look into starting a FB page and will see how that works out for orders. I have a chocolate supplier that has a "Belguim" style of chocolate and it is the best I have ever tasted. Yum!! So, bunnies, eggs, truffles, pretzels, and everything in between will be what I am doing in the upcoming weeks!

Mary(dereksmom) ~  We are just old school; Saturday night is the time cuz who is going to wake up in the middle of the night to change clocks??  Plan ahead :)

Swim4life ~ You've got a full plate; prayers for you.

Jennifer ~  Thanks for the info!  And it's always great to hear graduation has happened.  I have faith that my son will do it but, it's still good to hear.

Hugs to all.

Swim4life-I'm sorry about your struggles, both with your Dad and your husbands job.  I completely understand about your Dad, mine had a similar situation, but he didn't go out on a dig!  I'm really glad he's doing that!!  My husband and I own our own electrical contracting business and boy this horrible economy has hit us hard!  They say it's starting to come back, ha! I don't think so!!

My son's PIR was 3/4 and those first 3+ weeks until you hear from him are the hardest.  Once you know his PIR date go find that group on here, or if there isn't one, make one.  I made such great friends on my PIR group, and some of them are nuke moms too.  My son is in SC right now, waiting to start school.  It kills me that after 8 weeks of hardly hearing from him, he was a Sat departure and had liberty in SC.  WTH?  Why couldn't he have had liberty in GL?!  Oh well, we made the best of it, at met him at the airport in the morning.  It was worth because we were able to give him his laptop and cell phone, so with him being in indoctrination he has lots of time to call and FB chat.  We haven't got the skype thing started yet.

Good luck with everything!!
