Hi Chipmunk - it's not in anything that you wrote, but in this (more recent) file: https://navyformoms.ning.com/group/nukemoms/page/navy-nuclear-train...

it says that A school for ET and EM is approx. 26 weeks long, but on the actual NNPTC page: https://www.navsea.navy.mil/Home/NNPTC/

it says 24 weeks long.

I know it's only 2 weeks, but my daughter is leaving for college on Labor Day weekend, and those 2 weeks could be the difference on whether I can go to see my Nuke graduate from A school, or not.

Velvetenor - If you have seen it incorrectly noted in anything that I have written, would you mind taking the time to let me know, so that I may edit. Thanks!!

Well we have snow today!! Not much but at least the schools did not cancel in vain around here. Rearranging the schedule to accommodate!

Hi folks - I have a question! Is A school for ET and EM 24 weeks long or 26 weeks long? I have looked in a few places on this site, and other sites, and the information is inconsistent. Could someone please confirm? Thank you!

SparkJags, thanks for finding the address for AP's*nuke*mom* - Yes, you may use INDOC until you have a class number. - If you send your pkgs priority mail, you will get a tracking # and insured up to X # $.

NancyJo - I am so glad you chimed in. I was just thinking about you in the last day or so and wondering why we had not heard from you. I guess I missed the memo about your medical situation. Glad to hear that things are going well, please keep us posted.

Well we had sunshine and warm weather this last weekend when I had to be inside for other obligations and now we are below freezing and all the schools are closing in anticipation of bad weather!!!  Silly but that is the way they do it around here.

B'sNukeMom - your upcoming trip sounds wonderful!

Comment by SparkJags on February 4, 2020 at 6:26pm

AP's*nuke*mom* - I think you can send a package using INDOC as the class number.

Northwoodsmom and SparkJags-  Mine was 24 when he started the process but expected to turn 25 before BC started.  Because of many things they said it would not be an issues.  He is 25 now and is not the oldest in his A school for ETNs.  I think he told me one of this classmates is 28.
