Hello moms (and dads?) I don;t post very often, but I do read your comments - they are uplifting, encouraging, funny, compassionate, informative, etc the perfect support team! My daughter is a Navy Nuke ET3 in power school at Goose Creek, scheduled to graduate Feb 3. I would love to stay please.

Hi everyone, it has been a long while since I have posted, but I try to keep up. Thanks to B'sNukeMom and WearsLargeHats for keeping us in the loop with the N4M status.  I, too, would hate to see it disappear!  There is such a wealth of information here, and sometimes you can't (or don't want to ask) on FB.

My sailors are doing well.  My ET's boat is still in dry dock, so he is just trolling around, standing his watches and trying to get his quals in.  It is apparently much harder to do that when your boat is dry docked, but he is making the best of it.  He did see enough time on a sub to get his dolphins!  =) He actually got to come to a city near us for some training, so we drove down to see him and take him out to dinner.  Of course I made sure to get several hugs out of him!  He will be home on Leave for his birthday, Christmas, and the new Star Wars movie.  We have our priorities!  :)

My daughter, the ELT, is currently deployed.  It has been hard on me, to not hear from her very often.  She always kept me in the know with what was going on with her and her brother.  She did rank up to PO2, and she qualified as an ELT on her ship!  She got an overnight pass when they had a port call, and was able to Skype with us at home!  We have not seen her for 6 months.  She was enjoying the peace and quiet, the hot water, and the decent food.  It was her birthday, and her Liberty buddies made sure she had a cupcake with a candle on it when they went out to dinner.  So thoughtful of them.  Did I mention that her berthing is 2 decks below the flight deck?  She said that the take-offs aren't bad, but when they miss a catch, it is really ugly...

B'sNuke, I sure wished for your younger son's help this fall when my 13 yo was running cross country!

Hello to all. Haven't been active for awhile now. I should introduce myself as to many of the members here now are new to me.
My son's been in since April 2013. He just turned 23 and is a MM stationed on the Abraham Lincoln in VA. He's doing very well, as of now he is close to being senior staff. The carrier is in the lasts stages of the overhaul and refuel.
Wanted to stay in this group as it was my lifeline back in 2013 and during his time in SC. Also need to be part of the Abraham Lincoln groups as they will be getting very active in the coming months. If there is any mothers with sailors aboard CVN72 please let me know! Be well everyone!
