Girl Chief, You have one strong young lady in a daughter. So glad she has a path she wants to go. Teaching is a good profession. What does she want to teach? Congratulations on her future marriage.

Yes I went to a local church to vote yesterday, felt they would be trustworthy with my ballot.

My family (my Dad's side) is related to the second signer of the Constitution and was the 1st temporary President while George Washington was elected. So I feel rather passionate for our Country and where it is headed.

Our sailor is now in Prototype, likes it more than Power School. I lost sleep worrying for him during that time. I guess I now am worrying LESS.

Girl chief, thank you for sharing your sailors story, really appreciate it. And Mindya, congratulations, those last minute decisions are so nerve wracking, oi! Our sailors often do have similar experiences. I have learned so much on this website. Thank you all.

Got my fingers crossed for you Patti!

Comment by NancyJo (NNPTC) on November 8, 2016 at 3:58pm

girl chief, I am so behind. Best wishes to your daughter as she starts her new adventure, and looking forward to a wedding. That is so wonderful. Your note is positive and optimistic for the future, which I'm sure has been hard-won as you and your family worked through your daughter's medical issues. But like B'sNuke says, these things have a way of working out only not always as we thought they would. We will miss you if you go but you are so welcome to stay. You have a point of view that many will appreciate. I feel like, once a Nuke Mom, always a Nuke Mom. Right, B'sNuke?

Meanwhile, Mindya, great news! Hooyah!

BZ to your son Mindya!  Enjoy your time with your son.  Does he know where he'll be stationed yet?

Comment by B'sNukeMoM⚓️MMN(Vet) on November 7, 2016 at 12:00pm

Hi all - Happy Monday!

girl chief - wow - I do remember you mentioning something before but didn't realize there was a possibility of a medical discharge.  I do hope that her hip will heal and she doesn't continue to have issues with it.  Congrats on her engagement to a fellow nuke - bummer she's staying in VA when you are in CA (you are in the same situation as me lol!) but glad that she's going back to college and has found a new path.  Everything happens for a reason and the main thing is that she is happy!  I wish her the best of luck - she'll do great.  And NMH's to you :)

Comment by Mindya on November 6, 2016 at 2:56pm

Sorry, I haven't been on much lately!!! We were going through the ups and downs of trying to figure out if my son was going to graduate PowerSchool or not. Do we fly?? Do we go? Well we went, and found out Thursday, the night before graduation, he would be there! He is now officially a NUKE!!!! Pretty soon, I can say boots in the house. YAHOO!!!!
