Hi all - Happy Wednesday!

Thanks myvampress - I will be sure to pass on that info to him about the area around ODU.  He lives in VA Beach - nice area.  We've visited twice & really liked it (except for the humidity!).

B'sNukeMom- That is awesome although I know you miss him. Tell him to be very careful at ODU... the area and crime in that area is horrible... I live in Norfolk. Good luck to your son, I know you are a proud mom!

KAM Mom: My sailor is in the same boat as yours. He came home right after Power School graduation. Now he is on guard duty and waiting to class up for Prototype. I think the break in studies is good, give the brain a rest. I am astounded at the height of achievement that is reached by nuke sailors. I told him no matter what happens, he is already sacrificing, already a winner.

I will ask my sister where she went for cancer treatment in Mexico. She feels pretty good, except is having a time keeping her weight. She needs more protein!

He'll be doing a year at Tidewater Community and then he's transferring to Old Dominion.  The VA (veterans - not Virginia!) people have been very helpful and his Post 9/11 GI Bill is covering tuition/housing.  I would have liked for him to come back home & go to school but he's pretty situated there - and his roommate is happy he's not leaving!

B'sNukeMom- ok gotcha....what college/university in Virginia is he going to attend? My son graduated from VCU in Virginia majoring in Biochemical Engineering.

myvampress - my sailor son is actually out of the Navy now and college son has graduated college, but it's just habit for me to say sailor son & college son lol!  Sailor son will become a college son in August as he starts school to get his Mechanical Engineering degree.  He's staying in VA for school and we are in CA.....so even though it's still far away it's easier to get together with him!

Hi all - Happy Tuesday!

Well my guys are having a great time in Boston.  They went to 2 ball games and got to see the Boston Pops Fireworks last night.  Can't wait to hear all about it!  As for me & the dog we laid low - hung out by the pool and did some heavy duty cleaning lol!  Hope everyone had a nice weekend ;-)

myvampress - so glad you got to visit with your son - Charleston is a wonderful place to visit!
