For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

She just finished up her service in the Navy a few months ago - she was an ELT on the Lincoln - 6 years in and she never deployed! She's also using her GI Bill to go to college so they'll be doing the long distance thing for the next few years. She's in MI & he's in VA - should be interesting (she was just visiting him though and now he's there visiting her). But he's very happy so that makes me happy :)

I'll send a message to the N4M admin but I doubt I'll hear anything back. I've sent a few messages regarding other issues and no one seems to respond. I know when Tiffany was the admin she would respond usually within a day, but there's a new admin now and I haven't had much luck :(

Do you know how long that will last? You mentioned your son's friend and I know of someone who I was going to tell about N4M but have hesitated based on that post.

BoyWonderMom - wishing your hubby a speedy recovery! My boss had his knee replaced a few years ago and he's back riding his bike 60+ miles on the weekends. He made sure he did all his PT as instructed. His wife also had knee replacement but she did NOT do her PT as instructed and she still has issues with her knee :( Bottom line, tell your hubby no matter how much it hurts now, do the PT. He'll be happy in the end!

Pooh'sMom - that's pretty cool that your son can officiate weddings - who knows, maybe he could end up helping JayDee's daughter ;-) Wouldn't that be a small world!
