Welcome to the Nukes Dawn. Enjoy your kids all who have then home. Mine is deployed this year. His twin is coming home on Monday.

Patti,,,I went to a homecoming once, it is thrilling. still remember the moment I saw that ginger head pop up on the gangway. I then lost him in the crowd and he hoped up behind me like magic. Fun.

Funny Santa Post.

Good morning ladies.  My gal is home and I'm trying to enjoy every minute as I know that there will be plenty more Christmases to come without her.  Hugs to all of you whose sailors cannot make it home.  I'll share with you my daughter and her puppy (the puppy was super excited to see her little girl again).

Hi all - Happy Wednesday!

PattiP - woohoo!!!!!  So glad you were able to make it for the homecoming!  Can't imagine backing the ship in....that sure must have been a sight to see!  Glad you got to spend time with him and enjoy your visit when he comes home next month ;-)

Welcome Dawn - be sure to read the pages (9) to the right under the member profiles.  Lots of good info there.  And if you don't find something feel free to ask!

PacNWmom - enjoy your visit with your sailor!

I'm sending big NMH's to all - to those of you that have your sailor with you - enjoy (and get extra hugs).  For those of us that won't have our sailor, well even bigger hugs!

Hey y'all! My sailor is home from Power School for 2 weeks. YIPPEE! I hope those of you with sailors in the house are soaking up the love as I am. I'm sending lots of thoughts and love to those of you who will be without yours these next couple of weeks. Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, There is a lot of focus on family at the end of December and it's hard to be without loved ones.

I want to update y'all on my quest to find my sailor "something he wants" for Christmas. First of all, thanks so much for all your suggestions, they were incredibly helpful! I ended up putting together a little box with some food things: A gift certificate to his favorite restaurant in Goose Creek (Sushi 101), his favorite candy (Jelly Bellies), a tiny bottle of balsamic vinegar I brought back from Italy for him, and a couple of food items he can't find in GC.

Ironically, after bugging him to give me ideas for over 2 months I woke this morning to find a list outside my door that says, "Undies, Scarves, Electronics". Too late, kiddo.
