Phoenix Karen, my husband and I are also going on the Tiger Cruise. Our son is also a nuke. We are arriving on Friday. You can PM me if you like. We have our flights and hotels booked for the beginning and after the cruise. Getting home will be tough because of the timing of the cruise.

Vincent Ferdin is still missing.  Please share this information. (Especially with your sailor's in Goose Creek.)

FYI - I updated the pages to the right.  I added the "2015 Deployment Support Handbook" to the "Single Sailor Deployment Checklist".

Hi all - Happy Thursday!

I'm so excited - just made plans to head to VA next week to spend a few days with my sailor before he leaves on deployment ;-)  Hubby is hoping he can get off work too - fingers crossed!

Hey Eric's Mom,

Thanks for that info....I have been to the base sort of, picking him up by the Subway so we could go eat at the "Circle".  We are very anxious for him to finish and then have a break.  Still not sure what will happen with the Thanksgiving Holiday which happens so close to his graduation.   And then there is Christmas.  Does anyone know what is "typical"  with a graduation so close to two holidays?   He did tell me that the power school class is about 200 sailors and there is a "waiting" time until there are enough to begin Power School.

Hi all - Happy Wednesday!

Phoenix Karen - I know on the Navy Dads site there is a Tiger Cruise group.  I don't know if it's real active but you might be able to get a little more info there.

britefuture - glad to hear the weather has cooled down for your sailor!  And fingers crossed he makes it home before your daughter & her family leave!

Good Morning Nuke Moms!  Just got back from Scotland last night and catching up on all the postings -- so great to read about all the visits with sailors, families and grandbabies <3

sportykr  We are in Ct, my husband works in Groton so I would be more than happy to give you any info/help that you might want in your sailors apartment search :)

Phoenix Karen - Hello! Congrats on going on the Tiger Cruise. My son is also on the TR. He had asked me to go but I just couldn't make it work. I'm in school and have a little one at home that I just can't imagine leaving for more than an over-night, lol. If these ladies and gentlemen don't have a lot of info., there is a Facebook group for our son's ship that seem to be very knowledgable on this years cruise. Try going there. It's a closed group but I'm sure they will welcome you as they did me. I'm not sure how to copy and paste fb groups so you can search the following: Ladies that Love and Support TR crew. I'm certain they will help.

Enjoy the cruise and please share your experience with us. I'm a bit bummed that I wont be joining you.
