Wanted to drop in and wave at all the Nuke Moms -- new and not so new (see how I avoided calling myself old there?!) since I'm not posting as much these days.

I do read all of your posts in my email, and enjoy getting to hear everything -- even if I don't see delicious decadent food from COtwin and fun pics from b'snuke!!

My guy is winding up his first deployment. He felt so valuable as the little guy in his division who could get in and fix the stuff (& clean! Which makes this mom's heart proud because I'd have sworn he'd only treated cleaning as a spectator sport until he joined the Navy!), that no one else could reach or that would be too difficult for others.

He was nervous -- at every step of the Nuke pipeline -- about making the grade, getting it right, etc. I fretted right along with him; it's what we moms do, right? :)

Bottom line: Top of the class, washed out or barely made it through, it's our sailors who make up the fleet. They work for each other to protect us.

So that we can worry and fret; it's what we do, right?

Xoxo love you NFM Nukes!!

Hi all - Happy RED shirt Friday!

Got an email from sailor last night.  First one since his birthday last week.  He's been very busy & said he's looking forward to this underway being done!

We leave on vacation after work today - woohoo! Can't wait. Looking forward to some nice R&R ;-)  I'll still be checking in here but won't be posting as much since i'll be doing it from my phone & not desktop......I'm not able to post pics to this site from my phone :(.

BZ to all those that have graduations coming up.  To those of you who get to see your sailor for the 4th of July - enjoy!  Get extra hugs for those of us who won't get to see ours.

Y'all try not to miss me too much LOL!  And have a Happy 4th of July too!  Everyone be safe!

Hi all - Happy Wednesday!  So glad it's almost Friday and then vacation time for me - woohoo!

ptgloria - BZ to your daughter!  Have a great time at graduation next week ;-)  We were told to bring our ID's, car registration (although we rented a car - so rental info) and proof of car insurance to show at the gate.  They didn't ask for any of it.  Hubby gave our names when we drove through, they checked the list & waived us on.....
