For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Comment by CO-TwinSalorsMom on April 14, 2015 at 9:29pm: My son called last night late after I had gone to bed. He is excited to come home. told me he is landing at around 9 ish. LOL I asked what airline and flight, He said that the ticket was across the room from him so he would text it to me. Silly kid. Talked till midnight my time, 2am his. I finally told him I had to get up a 5 am for school so I had to go. Then a half hour later he pocket called GGGRRRR.

Had a farm to table day today field trip, literally. As part of my culinary school we go to a farm for a couple of days and get stuff from a local far to cook a few times. Today we went to Black cat farm. Harvested asparagus, sorted out wintered over onions. and laid water line. Got to pet piggies and see baby piglets. One sow had babies this am where she was not supposed to be. Couldn't move the babies so they put a shelter over her. 8 tiny cute piglets. So fun.

I have read the posts about how sometimes they don't get the boards/ orals done on time etc...but I'm looking to connect with other parents....my son doesn't have his orders yet but I want to connect with parents...who will have s child where my son will be..Once I know where he is going...thank you

Comment by Dink(Vinson) on April 13, 2015 at 6:17pm: Only one boat got to have the original class 1404 graduation date and ceremony. There were so many left from 1403 on the other boat that they gave that date and ceremony to them.
