Sorry don't know the married housing rules. I am sure someone here will know. Very helpful group here.

My school will go beyond when my son is done and moved on to his first duty station. I am enjoying all that I am learning.

Here is what I tried on my own yesterday at home. We learn these in two weeks and I wanted to get a jump on things. Gum paste (sugar) flowers.

NukeMomReese hang on for the ride of your life. There is light at the end of the ride. Seems like now that long ago I was in your shoes and now my son is in his last 6 weeks or so on prototype!! Will be very happy when he is done and knows his duty station.

Save those letters. you will treasure them. and you will be thrilled by PIR and then Power school Graduation.

Hi,can someone please give me a straight answer haha. My husband will be graduating from boot camp on March 27. I keep getting told different things about moving down to goose creek with him. Since we are married, will he be able to move us to a school with him before he starts school, or will they make him wait a couple months? I really would like to know so I can have some piece of mind.

Hi Melpaca, All graduations are on Fridays. Your son should be given a tentative graduation date within a week or two of starting A school. He may have to ask his SLPO.
If your son is an EM or ET, you can add 24 weeks to his start date to get an ESTIMATE of graduation, but it can change. After 14 weeks, the EM's and ET's split into separate classes and sometimes they will hold a class of ET's back and combine them with the following class if there aren't enough. This happened to my son.
If your son is an MM, he will graduate A school after 14 weeks.

Hi, My son is still in BC (second week also).  His sis can't go to PIR and I am trying to guess when she can see him next. When can they get visitors in A school or get to come home for the first time?

Comment by Melpaca on February 7, 2015 at 10:49pm

Hi, my son started A school this past Monday.  Do I just add 24 weeks to his start date for graduation?  Do they do the A school graduation on a Saturday?  We are trying to figure out dates for seeing if we might be able to attend.  Thanks.

Thank you Dittersmom! I will plan on some of that same visiting! He is finishing his second week at BC. Waiting for my first letter. :)

Sierrascrapper.  I always tried in my texts or letters, to start or end with a positive  quote.  Sometimes bible verse, Philippians 4:13 is always good.  or another of my favorite positives is:  remember "What one can do another can do"  or                 Take pride in how far you have come,                                   Have faith in how far you can go.

had a busy week boy a lot to catch up on.

Bnukesmom so sorry for your loss. Glad your boys are there with you.

William you got out just in time I hear next 4 days are going to be a mess for the North East again Ballston Spa could get over a foot of snow with the largest amounts coming sunday night thru Monday night. oh boy seems like they are in a bad pattern. Of course I had to rub it in to my son that we are going to be in the mid 60s.

It was good to have my son home last weekend he did get stuck in NYC for 4 hours train delayed because of last weekends snow. Although I only get him for the weekend every 5 weeks its better then nothing. So hoping when prototype is over he gets stationed in Norfolk Va
